Thanksgiving
In this service we give thanks for your child and pray God’s blessing on them,
by name, as well as welcoming all your family and friends. There is no
fee. Please feel free to visit one of our services before you make a decision
about a thanksgiving service for your child. You can be sure of a warm welcome
at any time
Infant Baptism
Infant baptism differs from thanksgiving in that there is a set ceremony or liturgy used by the vicar and when the parents and Godarents bring a child forward the child is baptised with holy water. To know more about having your child baptised please contact us.
Full Immersion Baptism
Baptism is a response to God's love - a desire and a commitment to respond to God's call to follow the example of Jesus Christ. It is also a celebration, a time to come together with family and friends; remembering that you are loved by God, are part of a wider community and have a place with God's people. Marriage
There are some things about a church wedding that are very special. A church wedding will add a spiritual dimension to your marriage. The ceremony includes God and looks to Him for help and guidance. The vicar can help you blend ancient tradition and modern experience to reflect your story and make your day more meaningful. St Paul’s Church is a versatile venue with 3 very flexible spaces for you to use and there are beautiful grounds which make for stunning photos.
Funerals
We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed. A funeral can reflect the unique life of a person. We can support you every step of the way to make the funeral special with music, hymns, readings and tributes.
